Today, we proudly share that we have signed the attached press release, “Catholic Sisters in California Stand with Immigrants.” This statement, initiated by the Sisters of St. Joseph, reflects the shared commitment of numerous congregations across California who minister to and advocate for immigrant persons.
Compelled by the Gospel message of Jesus (Mt. 25) and the Social Teaching of the Church, we strive to be a compassionate presence for our immigrant communities as we advocate for their human rights.
We are deeply grateful to the CSJs for their leadership and for being a catalyst in amplifying our collective voice. Together, we stand in solidarity with our immigrant sisters and brothers, affirming their dignity, rights, and contributions to our communities.
