Join us in prayer on the Feast of the Transfiguration, Wednesday, August 6, at 4:00 p.m. PT, 6:00 CDT, for a Virtual Memorial Prayer Service for Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
As we remember the lives lost and pray for lasting peace, we are invited to reflect on the contrast between the brilliant light of the Transfiguration and the devastating darkness unleashed by nuclear weapons. Today, as the threat of nuclear conflict remains, our prayers for peace are more important than ever.
Together, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary Western and Eastern American Areas join 39 congregations of women religious and peace organizations in co-sponsoring this witness of faith and hope.
